Annajean Gionta is an NYC based creative; she is an actor, singer, playwright, and comedian. She recently made her NYC debut in Write Act Repertory's East Meets West short play festival, after closing Dream Role Player's Macbeth as the First Witch. Currently, Annajean is serving as head writer and producer for the monthly live talk-show, The Connor Spring Show at The NuBox Theatre. Graduate of Emerson College's BFA Acting studio. While at Emerson, in addition to acting, Annajean honed in on her writing skills as a sketch comedy writer/actor for The Girlie Project, Emerson's only female centered comedy troupe. She has trained with the Michael Chekhov Actors Studio in Boston, as well as at Shakespeare & Company's Summer Intensive in Lenox, MA, performing selections from Macbeth (Lady Macbeth) and Measure for Measure (Isabella). Regional credits: Rent with The Company Theatre, The Suppliant Women with Apollinaire Theatre Company and Heat of the Summer at Boston Playwrights' Theatre. Emerson College credits: Romeo and Juliet (Juliet), Heathers: The Musical (Heather Duke); The Moors (Marjory/Mallory); Bonnets: How Ladies of Good Breeding are Induced to Murder (Mrs. Wolcott); This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing (Female swing), and A Wrinkle in Time (Mrs. Whatsit).
