About Annajean!

Annajean Gionta is an NYC based creative; she is an actor, singer, playwright, and comedian. Currently, Annajean is performing with Write Act Rep. in NYC in their short play festival, West Meets East. Most recently she played the First Witch in Macbeth with Dream Role Players in Cambridge, MA. Graduate of Emerson College's BFA Acting studio. While at Emerson, in addition to acting, Annajean honed in on her writing skills as a sketch comedy writer/actor for The Girlie Project, Emerson's only female centered comedy troupe. She has trained with the Michael Chekhov Actors Studio in Boston, as well as at Shakespeare & Company's Summer Intensive in Lenox, MA, performing selections from Macbeth (Lady Macbeth) and Measure for Measure (Isabella). Regional credits: Rent with The Company Theatre, The Suppliant Women with Apollinaire Theatre Company and Heat of the Summer at Boston Playwrights' Theatre. Emerson College credits: Romeo and Juliet (Juliet), Heathers: The Musical (Heather Duke); The Moors (Marjory/Mallory); Bonnets: How Ladies of Good Breeding are Induced to Murder (Mrs. Wolcott); This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing (Female swing), and A Wrinkle in Time (Mrs. Whatsit).
